Wart, Corn, Callosity

#

1. DDx:

    1. skin in wart does not have skin lines, painless

    2. skin on corn, callosity has its lines and usually painful

2. Warts treatment

    1. single wart: treat for 2 month if no response, better to cryotherapy

        1. cryotherapy

        2. Salicylic acid 5 gr bid only on lesion

        3. Lactic acid 5gr bid only on lesion

        4. Flexible collodion 20 gr bid only on lesion

        5. Oint zinc oxide bid on intact skin around the lesion

    2. Sessile wart

        1. Cream tretinoin 0.05% bid for 1 month

    3. Vaginal, mucosal wart:

        1. Podophyllin  10, 25% in tenture Benzoin (weekly applied by physician)

        2. dysplasia screening

        3. HPV vaccination

3. Corn, callosity treatment

    1. correct pressure

        1. Salicylic acid 15gr bid

        2. Lactic acid 15gr bid

        3. Flexible collodion 60 gr bid

        4. Oint zinc oxide 20% bid on intact skin

    2. or Solution salicylic acid # tds

        1. oint zinc oxide 20% #1

    3. or Solution verrumal #1 bid

        1. or oint tretinoin 0.05% #1 qhs

        2. or Gel benzoyl peroxide 5% #1 qd
